Explore the world’s second largest inhabited volcano crater and get a glimpse of its many local flavors with an entertaining cooking class!
This exclusive tour includes a visit to Anton Valley, a majestic region that features forests, rivers and many trails. Experience the incredible adventure of walking and interacting with the unique wildlife that inhabits this area, which gives you the opportunity of spotting many different species of mammals, insects, reptiles, flowers and millenary trees, among others.
Afterwards you will visit the fruit and vegetable local market, where a list of needed ingredients will be provided (in Spanish), you will need to find out what they are, in order to buy them. Your cooking experience will begin with a 'behind the scenes' guided market tour, in which you will meet many vendors, some of whom have been there for generations, as you will learn about locally grown products and start selecting all of the ingredients that will be used later in the cooking class.
After that, we will visit the home of a local lady and under her instructions you will prepare a Panamanian Recipe known as “Carne Mechada” (shredded meat), packed with flavor, giving you enough time to share with her in her home and enjoy the delicious lunch that you just have cooked.
