Its historical parts, Old Panama and the colonial quarter of Casco Viejo, will set an interesting contrast to the state of the art skyscrapers of international banking and insurance companies. One huge highlight not to be missed by any visitor is of course the Panama Canal. Built at the beginning of the last century it had a lasting impact in the forming of the Republic of Panama.
