  • Prices are per person double occupancy
  • Rates are valid from November 1, 2011 through December 15, 2011 and from January 16,2012 through October 31, 2012 except for National Holidays (Fiestas Patrias) November 3 – 6, 10 – 13, 25 – 28, 2011; Carnival from February 17 – 22, 2012 and Easter Week from March 30 – April 9, 2012.
  • Rates are in USD per person for a minimum of 2 passengers travelling together.
  • The arrival transfer, first night in Panama City and the car will be reserved through Panama Trails. These arrangements will be made under the client’s name.
  • This program is only valid without previous reservation of the hotels (except for the first night in Panama City). Clients may call the hotel ahead of time and ask for availability, but the hotels reserve the right to accept or deny any reservation based on availability. For security, clients have to identify themselves as members of the Panama Trails Flexi-Drive program in order to ask for availability.
  • The hotel also has the right to accept the vouchers only for a specific room category. If the hotel does have rooms of a higher category available, it may give clients an upgrade or ask clients to pay for the price difference.
  • Clients will have one coupon or voucher per night, issued by Panama Trails.
  • If clients use all coupons or voucher and wish to extend their stay, the hotels and car rental company will charge the current season rate (rack rate). The above mentioned rate for the additional night is only valid if clients purchased either the 7 nights or 14 nights program and request the additional services ahead of time and through Panama Trails.
  • Unused vouchers are non-refundable.
  • The CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) insurance has a deductible of USD 750 (accident) / USD 1,000 (theft) with the possibility of being excluded for an additional insurance of USD 6 per day. Clients can also purchase the optional PAC insurance (Personal Accidents Coverage) for USD 4 daily or the WTC (Windshield & Tire Waiver) for USD 4 daily.
  • An additional driver has a cost of USD 4 per day.
  • The general conditions for car rentals are: Valid driver’s license, passport and credit card (as guarantee), minimum age 21 years

The Panama Trails Flexi Drive is a perfect package for those who like to take their own time to discover the beauty of Panama. It is a self-drive package that allows you to decide the "when", "where" and "how long" every place will be explored.
Custom-designing your own itinerary is not the only advantage that Flexi-Program offers, you also receive better rates than if you were to book the hotels, rental car or shuttle transfer company directly and in advance.
This is how it works: On your arrival day a representative from Panama Trails will meet you at the airport and provide transfer to your hotel in Panama City which is already pre-booked. The next morning a Toyota Yaris Advance or similar is delivered to your hotel by the rental company. You will also have a briefing meeting at your hotel with an experienced English-speaking guide who will provide your accommodation vouchers, answer any questions you have about driving in Panama, discuss your travel plans, etc.
Then you are off to explore on your own! You go as you please, choosing hotels and lodges from the Flexi List. There are approximately 30 hotels covering almost the entire country (except for the islands). You can stay as many nights as you like in each hotel. The only condition is that you book as you go, no sooner than the morning of the day you go. When calling or checking in, you must identify yourself as a Panama Trails client with the Flexi Drive Program.
In each main area there is a choice of hotels and lodges, so if one hotel is full there is a very good chance that another will have space. If within the main area where you want to stay no hotels have space, just call Panama Trails who will assist you in finding you an alternative in that same area or near that area.
At the end of your trip, simply drop the car at Tocumen International Airport or at the rental car office in Panama City.


Day : 1 - Arrival in Panama City:

A representative of Panama Trails will welcome you at the international airport and transfer you to the Panama City Hotel of your choice (from the Flexi List).


Overnight at the Flexi hotel of your choice in Panama City (pre-booked), breakfast included.

Day : 2 - Panama City - Flexi Drive:

Briefing with a Panama Trails Guide at the Hotel and discussion of the best route and choices of hotels.
A Hyundai Elantra or similar will be delivered at the hotel and then you are off to explore Panama on your own. Stay for another night in Panama City to discover the city and the impressive Panama Canal or continue your journey towards the other provinces.

Overnight at the Flexi Hotel of your choice, breakfast included (unless otherwise specified).

Day : 3 - 7 Flexi Drive:

Drive through scenic Panama and fulfill all your desires and interests.

Day : 8 - Departure:

Drive to the International Airport; drop off your rental car and check in for your flight back home.?
