About Isla Boca Brava

Boca Brava Island is located in the gulf of Chiriqui and it is part of the National Marine Park. This 3000-hectare lovely little island offers the visitor an unspoiled natural paradisiacal atmosphere with lots of hiking trails, white sand tropical beaches, and numerous wildlife. A great spot for birders and wildlife watching fans since it is home to hundreds of monkeys, nesting sea turtles and 280 types of birds.

How To Get There:

Boca Brava Island is located in the Gulf of Chiriqui approximately 9 hrs driving time from Panama City. You take the Panamerican Highway towards David and then drive to Marina Pedregal, 5 minutes distance. From here take a comfortable taxi-boat for a 50 minutes-ride to the island. The trip passes through lagoons, mangroves, tidal-wetlands, estuaries, and on the banks of the river you will be able to see indigenous villages and their inhabitants tending their crops or fishing.
If you prefer, you can fly to David ( 50 minutes from Panama City) and then we will arrange a private ground / boat transfer to Boca Brava Island.
