Playa Venado is located in the Peninsula of Azuero, on the southwestern part of Panama City, about four and half hours by car. Take the Inter-American highway going west towards Costa Rica until Divisa, bear left south towards Chitre, continue on the road for another hour until reaching Pedasi, and keep on going for another half hour until seeing signs for La Playita Resort. The entrance is immediately after the sign.
The main house has nine spacious bedrooms. They are furnished with antiques and tastefully decorated with fine accessories and quality linen. All have air conditioning, Direct TV French windows, and open to wrap-around porches that face the sea. Each bedroom has its own bathroom.

The hotel only serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Usually the meals feature fresh fish and seafood from the area. Alternally you can either cook for yourself – there is also a full argentine barbeque available – or visit one of the restaurants in the nearby villages.
