Bastimentos Island Hotel : Casa Cayuco
Isla Bastimentos
Take a one hour flight from Panama City Domestic Airport directly to Bocas del Toro. From there you will be picked up and guided to Casa Cayuco. The boat ride to Casa Cayuco is approximately 40 minutes, through beautiful mangroves and bays. The hotel is adjacent to the National Marine Park of Isla Bastimentos.
At the second floor, the lodge has two guest rooms, "Mono" and "Rana," and the third floor room "Loro" is owner’s home. Surrounding the main lodge are three cabins. "Delfin" and "Tortuga" are on the beach and have spectacular views of the bay and the volcanoes on the distant mainland. "Coco" cabin is set closer to the jungle; it is surrounded by flowers and still boasts a pretty view of the water.
All rates are in USD per room per night and do not include hotel tax of 10%.
All the lodging facilities are open-air and equipped with overhead ceiling fans. Each room and cabin has its own private bath, with hot and cold running water. In the effort to have a minimal impact on the surrounding environment, the electricity is generated from the sun. Solar panels are mounted on the main lodge and the cabins roofs. The roofs serve also as a water catchment system. All fresh water comes from rainwater and is then filtered for our use.
All meals and snacks are included and served family style in the open-air dining room.
Located in the pristine Bocas Del Toro archipelago of northwestern Panama, this lodge is a perfect spot for a tropical getaway. Whether you prefer relaxing in a hammock, strolling along the beach, exploring the land and sea, or all of these things, Casa Cayuco can be the place. This lodge is nestled among coconut palms on the picturesque white sand beach of Punta Vieja.
