There are six double cabins and one triple, with individual fully-equipped bathrooms and water 365 days a year. The lodge generates power from a small generator and through solar lamps. At night the lodge always lights candles, giving the lodge an old-fashioned atmosphere. The terraces are surrounded by colorful and relaxing hammocks, where you can also take a siesta, read a good book and plan your upcoming trips.

Burbayar in the Kuna language means spirit of the mountain. Burbayar is in the middle of a tropical rainforest in the Republic of Panama, on the summit of the San Blas range, between the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Come into the home of hundreds of bird and mammal species, explore caves and rivers and walk along trails through a marvelous forest which is part of the Mesoamerican Biological Corridor. Begin your journey and recharge your batteries in our 100% natural lodge and wake up in a fabulous landscape.
Somebody once said about Burbayar that it was “the little house in the mountain we all dreamed of having”. And the truth is, a lodge has been built, which provides all the basic comforts but is totally natural! The wood has been obtained sustainably through recycling.
From the lodge there are great tours and hikes through the forest. There are six trails: red, yellow, white, blue, the El Laguito and the waterfall trails. There is a trail for everyone: they take from as little as 35 minutes up to 4 hours for the more adventurous people.
