The Metropolitan National Park is the only tropical rain forest natural park inside a major urban center in Central America. The park is also part of the interoceanic biological corridor formed by several protected areas stretching from the Pacific to the Atlantic. The park is a good spot for bird watching, to see monkeys, raccoons, sloth, squirrels, tall trees and plants. The tour starts usually in the early morning so you can observe many active mammals, reptiles and birds. In the Park you will take a hike for approximately 2 - 3 hours.
Please wear hiking shoes and long pants and don't forget to bring your camera, a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, insect repellent and water.
